Located in the historic former post office, City Post Chophouse offers fine dining, wood-grilled steaks and craft cocktails. With branding that draws upon the building's history and Art Deco architecture, the owner tasked us with designing labels for their bottled craft cocktails.

The design of each cocktail label incorporates elements of post office iconography, elegant and vintage font combinations, as well as art deco style illustrations. Illustrations were drawn in Adobe Fresco and the labels were compiled in Adobe Illustrator

The San Saba County Historical Museum launched a curbside appeal initiative to make their building more inviting and interesting to visitors. Though the museum was well-established, it was often overlooked by visitors and tourists because the building facade gave no indication of what treasures lay inside.

It was through a collaborative effort with the museum that I designed a series of 10 panels (36"x48") to help
tell the story of San Saba County's history and to entice visitors to pay a visit to the museum.

With no existing branding to work from, I developed a style guide based on the museum's goals of bright colors, eye-catching graphics, and text that could be easily read by people of all ages. I conceptualized and designed all imagery and maps using Adobe Illustrator.

The San Saba Visitor's Center was in need of a Visitor's Guide redesign to entice visitors to check out local businesses and attractions. After collaborating with the city to develop an updated list of attractions, we categorized them by shopping, food & drink, entertainment, and events. I developed a cohesive look and created more visual interest using existing brand typefaces, an earthy color palette, and by introducing more photography.

Over the past few years, it has become somewhat of a tradition to present my parents with wooden boxes for their 60th birthdays. Each box is full of a collection of stories and memories shared by loved ones. Having read the stories, I conceptualized and painted each of the boxes to emulate book cover designs that best captured the spirit of each parent and the lives they've lead over their 60 years of life.

starbucks 2016 holiday cup

You may recall that the Starbucks Red Cup for 2015 was a plain red ombre color, which caused quite the uproar and became a popular topic of the media even in the year leading up to the 2016 election. While many people took to social media to share their opinions, select artists saw the cup as a blank canvas for their own designs. As a landscape architecture student in horticulture class at the time, my illustration was inspired by the Poinsettia, a plant symbolic of the holiday season. I shared a photo of the design to instagram as I usually did with any kind of artwork I created, but you can imagine my shock when Starbucks slid in my DMs to ask for the design...and even greater shock when they called me to tell me that my cup was going to be a part of the 2016 Starbucks Red Cup Collection and that people in Australia, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific would be drinking their holiday drinks out of my cup!

"Poinsettia" was 1 of 13 cups selected from over 1,300 instagram submissions worldwide.
